Bringing preservation and accessibility together, the NWPAA Repository is home to printed, digital, ephemeral, and audiovisual collections focusing on past and present artists and arts organizations in the Pacific Northwest.

NWPAA plans to utilize the NWAD (NW Archive Database), CONTENTdm and other art-based online collection management developers to share accessioned materials with the general public. Collections will be accessible to the general public through EAD finding aids as well as digitalized exhibits of select collections online on the NWPAA website.

Collections may come from:

  • Artists’ family members and friends
  • Organizations that cannot care for collections previously given to them
  • Organizations that do not have the capacity to house or care for their own collections with adequate preservation or organizational methods
  • Organizations that would like to make their collections more accessible

If you, or your organization, are interested in donating materials or developing a collection collaboration, please visit Donations.

NWPAA’s accessioned collections are available to the public, researchers, artists and arts organizations both at the repository and online. At present, collections available at the repository can be accessed by appointment. Fees for publication, use, or copies of original materials may apply.
